Tip #1 Clean Up Clutter Outside
Take a time-out and act like a buyer. Do a walk -round of your property and jot down a list of To-Do?s on a once over like pick up trash, wash fencing, repair down spouts, etc.
Then hire help and / or get to work. Wear sturdy, thick gloves and grab a trash bag or trash can lined with a trash bag for handy carrying around the premises. Toss trash: refuse, yard waste, anything and everything unsightly (recycle or reuse what you can, and toss the rest).
After cleaning up the trash is completed, make another walk-round. Note clutter with notes about what to do with it; for example:
H Children?s and Adult?s Toys ? store in shed, basement, attic or other area
(but don?t just add to clutter there!)
H Yard Maintenance Tools (lawn mowers and clippers, rakes, weeding tools,
wheel barrel, garden hoses, etc.) ? set up storage shed (check with local hardware for one in your budget range) or store in garage or basement.
H Household and Other Tools ? get toolboxes, shelves and other storage bins
for these & place in garage, shed or other non-cluttered area.
H Bikes, Boats, Skis and Other Equipment ? Time to add these to storage as
well in garage, shed, basement, rented space.
By making these cosmetic adjustment to your property, depending on how you usually keep your property, these small changes can make a huge difference to the outer appearance of your home environment in the eyes of shoppers.
